2025 : CUAS SANDBOX (Urban Ottawa) - 1st Place Winner
The 2025 CUAS Sandbox (urban) event brought together twenty innovators representing four countries. Each innovator demonstrated and tested their advanced drone‑detection solutions designed to showcase how they could enhance Canada’s defence and security. With hands‑on support from Department of National Defence and Canadian Armed Forces personnel, innovators used the event to improve, adapt, and push their technologies further while battling for “Diamond in the Rough” prizes.
DARIT showcased its breakthrough technology, REMPART, an autonomous Intrusion Detection System (IDS) designed for CUAS and ground‑perimeter protection. REMPART leverages the Fusion Core software suite and a diverse range of distributed sensor technologies—vision, acoustic, radar, RF, and LiDAR—to monitor air and ground activity within a practical, integrated C2 (Command and Control) system.

2025 : IDEaS Testing Stream (DRDC)
DARIT Technologies participates in the Government of Canada’s Testing Stream, a program designed to evaluate pre‑commercial innovations in real‑world conditions through federal R&D contracts. DARIT received a budget of 2.3 million dollars, the maximum funding level allocated for military challenges. This program enables federal departments to assess the performance of new technologies and accelerate their path to market by working directly with innovative companies. Within this framework, DARIT conducted advanced testing of its REMPART system as well as its omnidirectional acoustic locator, both specifically adapted for military environments, demonstrating enhanced capabilities to detect and track emerging threats in complex operational contexts.
2024 : CUAS SANDBOX (CFB Suffield) – 2nd place (tie)
The 2024 CUAS Sandbox event took place from May 27 - June 21 at CFB Suffield in Alberta and featured 15 innovators from five countries who demonstrated and tested their counter-drone technologies. Innovators received feedback from various defence experts and end users, and the DND/CAF was informed to the art of the possible in CUAS technology developments.
DARIT presented Air Intrusion Monitoring System (AIMS). This solution leverages real-time detection and three-dimensional (3D) tracking of rotary drones using multimodal sensing and AI. Features also include advanced fusion of acoustic, vision, lidar, radar and Radiofrequency (RF) sensors.
